Don’t use AI to write your TEDx application!!
Guys- please- for the love of all things good in the world, please please please stop running your beautiful ideas through ChatGTP for 'one last quick polish.'
I've seen three TEDx applications in the last week where the incredible idea is completely hidden by the AI drivel it's cloaked in.
Your thoughts, your funky writing, your actual voice - it's what makes you stand out!!
To you, who've been wrestling with getting your thoughts in order, the smoothness of AI and all those amazing adjectives sound clear and strong. To someone reading it for the first time it sounds generic and flat and oh so samey.
By all means, use all the LLMs you want to help you get some structure and clarity, but the final edit needs to be all you.
If your not sure- ask someone- anyone… They don't need to be a professional writer to answer the question- does this sound like it was written by AI?
And if you want help writing your talk from an actual person let’s chat: https://calendly.com/resonance-ideas/tedx-strategy-call
I’m not cheaper than AI, but if I tell you it’s good I mean it, and if it’s not, I’ll tell you that too.
