Should I buy a boat?

Buying a boat is a terrible idea.

Nobody ever bought a boat because it was a sound investment.

There is no quicker way to depreciate your assets than to sell four solid walls and replace them with a hunk of fiberglass, the life goal of which is to sink.

If we were looking for a sound financial platform for the future we never would have sold our house.

Or we would have sold our house and bought a smaller house and invested in a sensible investment portfolio.

But it was never about the money.

It’s about life.

The purpose of life is to live.

That’s it.

This photo was the day we said goodbye to our girl after two incredible years.

You don’t have a true adventure without it being hard. We had some wild ups and downs, but one thing we will never do is regret that time.

The time together.
The fun we made.
The people we met.
The things we learnt.
What we experienced together as a family.

When the purpose of life is to live, to live well and to live fully, buying a boat is an incredible idea.
